Silence

I walked upon the softness;
quiet as the silent night.
Just so I may catch glances
Of whom makes my heart light
as the clouds pasted against the sky.

Of all the cliches I could say,
trite lines I could adorn you
with, and little nothings- pay
to you homage, blanks come to
mind though to be articulate, I try

I pull up my courage and take
the time to come up to plate
in desperate hopes to make
my own destiny, my own fate-
but then think who am I kidding, I can't lie.

So I just walk up, take the chance,
"Pardon me, may I have this dance?"
Just so I may catch the glance
Of whom makes my heart light
as the clouds, white roses, pasted against the sky on a
silent romantic night.
