Purpose Statement:
This project is concerned with Moses.  More specifically, we will be examining the historical and biblical portrayals of Moses.  We will discuss three different views of Moses:  the Islamic view, the Christian view, and the Jewish view.  The roles and importance of Moses in Islam, Christianity, and Judaism will be emphasized.  This will be accomplished by the presentation of factual material and different viewpoints concerning Moses.
Interesting Facts about Moses:
Moses lived to be 120 years old.  In Jewish Tradition, one way to wish a person well is to say, "May you live to be 120!" "Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were undimmed and his vigor unabated." (Deuteronomy 34:7)
Moses' grave was left unmarked in order to prevent people from idolatrously worshipping him.  "And he was buried in the ravine opposite Beth peor in the land of Moab, but to this day no one knows the place of his burial." (Deuteronomy 34:6)
Little is known about Moses' youth.
