Jim Likes

I love my Job. I work at Torness Nuclear Power Station as an Electrical Engineer. I like my car and I love playing my guitar!

The music I like is generally heavy rock and metal. My favourite bands are Metallica, and absoloutely anything by Devin Townsend! Fear Factory is another great influence in my life along with Machine Head and Sepultura! Check out links to these bands websites on the Links page!

I also enjoy a bit of a laugh! If you fancy a laugh check out the Huge Joke Lists!! I can come across quite serious at times, sort of the big brother figure of my social group but I do enjoy a good laugh now and again. Depending on my mood I can be a wee bit wacky and do try and make everyone cheer up a wee bit. I generally can make people a wee bit happier but now and again I fail miserably and make things worse!(see Baz's rant on his pages!!!) I try though! I am Uncle Jim to alot of people, they all come to me with their problems and I try and help them. I am usually quite good at this and do enjoy helping! Acchh!

Other stuff I like is usually to do with my course in electrical engineering! I specialised in Power and High Voltage and made a successfull Tesla Coil. Tesla Coils make HUGE sparks which can be meters long but I only need to make half a meter but hopfully it will do more. Check out my Tesla Coil Page. 	This is me next to the Marx Impulse Generator. It simulates Lighning! It delivers 800KV DC !!! Yeeee!!!
	Heres me next to its spark gap. This gives an idea of the size of spark the impulse generator can generate!!!
