PROTOTYPE ADVANCED MULTI-ENVIRONMENT MAIN VARIABLE ASSAULT FRAME FIGHTER (Aerospace Supremacy Version)
The Bluewind Zephyr Project (Plan 6503-E) began early in 2319 as a joint Olympus Hyperdynamics/Confederated TranStellar Defence Force venture to exploit the latest scientific developments in mechanical design; these developments such as the improved neural interface, and 3rd generation optical processor neural-net AI biocomputer resulted in the Zephyr units (Codename: Orzyeus) being some of the most technologically advanced combat cruise armors (mecha) ever built as well as being the first cruise armors equipped with a mecha-sized annihilation turbine. The FV-99Si Orzyeus or "Stormwing" (in Alavaryi) Vector Eclipse is the fastest of the Orzyeus variants designed to be a light assault/aerospace supremacy fighter. The Vector Eclipse like the other versions takes advantage of the latest in passive stealth and active EMM (ElectroMagnetic Masking) as well as the standard chaff and flare decoys with EM distortion technology to hide it's presence. Capable of single stage to orbit (SSTO) with multiple reentries as well as performing missions in planetary atmospheres, underwater and with the Hyper-sled booster unit is capable of travelling through hyperspace for interstellar operations. The Vector Eclipse like it's brethren is capable of carrying a full range of weapon systems from gravitic pulse railguns to particle aggitation beam weapons to X-laser cannons to missile intercepting mini-missiles to positron and X-laser warhead torpedoes (anti-ship missiles) and as a point of fact is outfitted with the most missiles of any variant with the exception of the Tempest support version. As befitting the aerospace dominance cruise armor it was designed to be the Vector Eclipse has a thrust to mass ratio over 22+ to 1 and an accelaration rating of 22+ G's though thanks to gravitic compensators and inertial brake the pilot can push the fighter in tight turns of over 45+ G's. The pure defensive systems are equally impressive as well, the Vector Eclipse comes equipped with the latest in cruise armor sized force fields (both pinpoint beam shields and full impedance barriers) including deflectors and and a thermo-supercondutive armor mesh. It also is outfitted with both recon and attack drones.
