Galizera hitz egiten da Asturiasen, Terra Navia-Eo eskualdean, mendebalde partean. 50.000 hiztun inguru daude. Hizkuntzak badu halako estatus arin bat, asturieraren parekoa. Hizkuntza ikas dezakete haurrek ikasgai gisa, eta erabilera administratibo batzuk ere arautu dituzte. Tentsioa ere bada galizieraren eta asturieraren artean eskualde honetan. Asturianista batzuek diote hango Galiziera ez dela asturieraren dialekto bat besterik (gure taulako izen asturiarrak adaptazio ortografiko hutsak omen dira, ez forma jatorrak). Seguruenik, ipuin hauek gaztelaniari mesede besterik ez diote egiten, eta hizkuntza gutxitu biak are gehiago baztertu. |

Galician in Asturias Galician in Asturias is spoken in the Terra Navia-Eo region, in the western part of the region, by some 50.000 people. The language has some slight status, the same recognised to Asturian. No officiality, but teaching of the language (not in the language) is guaranteed and some administrative uses are also regulated. Tensions between Galician and Asturian are present in the area. Some asturianists claiming that Galician spoken there is just a variety of Asturian (names in Asturian given here are just ortographic adaptations of original Galician). Probably, this debate can only strengthen the position of Spanish and further discriminate both minority languages. |
