This is My Life
I am originally from El Paso, TX, which is as far west in Texas as you can go. I was born and raised there. I attended and graduated from "El Paso's Finest", Eastwood High School. At Eastwood I was a swimmer. Not a real good one, but decent enough to know what I was doing. I swam distance events and continue to do so. I also played in the Eastwood Orchestra. Although our awesome band often stole the spotlight, we were pretty good. I played the violin and still enjoy doing this occasionally.
So now I've graduated from the Academy and am living in beautiful Kodiak, AK stationed aboard the mighty USCGC STORIS..  A lot has changed in my life, some good, some bad.  You'll notice I've taken the section about Erin and I out.  She and I have gone our seperate ways which I think is a good thing.  She's up in Maine still and enjoying life and I'm out in the midddle of nowhere Alaska enjoying life as much as I can.  A lot of my time is spent away from here on patrols out in the middle of the ocean.  It's sometimes long and boring , but it's all worth it.  I'm very happy I am where I am.  I still want to fly some day and have actually started working on my package for flight school.  We'll see where that goes.  Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you enjoy my site.
Some of my interests include swimming and the violin of course, reading, rowing, and meeting new people in the area. I unfortunately don't have too much time to get out, but when I do, I love to meet new people and find new ways to have fun. I am really involved with the Protestant Chapel group here at the Academy and am actually on the council that makes lots of the decisions as to what goes on throughout the year up in Memorial Chapel. We just started another group called Sailors on the Rock that is looking to record a Praise and Worship CD this year.  Though I don't play in the band I do a lot of the grunt work.
I also enjoy almost all types of music, but especially like Christian Alternative. Some of my favorite bands include
DC Talk, Jars of Clay, and the Newsboys. If you have never heard of these groups, you oughta check them out. I also enjoy some secular (non-Christian) music including groups like Depeche Mode, Alice in Chains, and even Garth Brooks. I must say that music is a really big part of my life. I listen to music a lot more than I watch television or movies. Making music is one the high points of my life.
One last thing about me is that I love trains. I have only now just begun building on to a model train set that I have been collecting for a long time. Although I am not a huge connoisseur of model trains, I still love to collect them.
