Franco-Flemish Award
In the style of the Late 15th-Early 16th Century.
This was a compition project; as such, it has quite a lot of documentation. This portiuon of the description is to show you images of the work in various stages of completion. The supporting documentation can be read here.
The completed project, with no attempt to correct the color as it scanned.
Gilded and partially painted. The drawing was done seperately as a cartoon and then transferred to the piece.
Miniature has been completed and the background color laid in. An uncorrected scan is here.
All color applied; some shading started on the sage (lower left corner)
Once again, the completed project.
Detail. Idealize miniature portrait of the recipient and his wife,
larger than actual size of approximately 2"x2".
