Welcome to this wonderful, marvelous, fantastic, fine, enjoyable, pleasing, sickening, exceptional, extraordinary, magnificent, grand, great section about me. I know it's a little conceited to have a section devoted strictly to me (and also to go through a thesaurus looking for synonyms of things like the word "excellent"), but who really cares? You don't have to read this. I just wanted to make you go insane just a little bit more than you are already (you have to be at least partly insane to even be looking at my webpages). Anyway, I'll go into a bit of a description of myself.
I was born and raised in a little town out in the middle of nowhere called Craig, Colorado. If you want to check out a little of what it was like, just go to the "next level of insanity" and you'll find the links. Life in Craig was pretty uneventful. The main reason for this is, of course, the fact that there is nothing to do in Craig. As it turns out, the movie theatre we have in Craig looks exactly the same as it did when it was first built in 1939. They "fixed it up" a bit back in the early eighties, but it still can't accomodate for THX or digital sound, which kind of sucks when you want to watch any movies now days.
Anyway, life was rather slow and boring in Craig, and I have done whatever it takes to get out of town, at least from time to time.
My family has always been pretty cool. I'm the youngest of five children, with three sisters and one brother. There's Elisa, Derrick, Laura, Juliann, and then myself. Elisa and Laura are both married now, so I also have two brothers-in-law, Tom and Dustin. They're both really cool, too. Tom and Elisa are in the process of moving to Detroit, which should be interesting, and Dustin and Laura are living in Phoenix, AZ. Tom works with the Boy Scouts of America, and Dustin is working for I believe the fire department (though it could actually be the ambulance service). Derrick is currently working as a stock boy for Victoria Secret (pretty cool, huh?) and doing some writing on the side. As a side note, he has also been dubbed as Santo Del Taco (trust me, you don't want to know). Then there's Juliann. She's currently working on getting some experience singing before going to grad school in music performance. She just finished up a summer opera program in Croatia, which I heard she loved a lot. So that's more or less mi familia (and no, I don't speak Spanish--I just happen to know a few words).
Now for stuff about me. I am currently attending theUniversity of Southern California
(Fight on, Trojans!!! Beat the bruins!!!)
working toward a degree in Music Education. I'm technically not a part of the Thorton School of Music yet (I hate politics), but that will be shortly remedied. I'm also a member of the trombone section of the Greatest Marching Band in the History of the Universe!!! To check out some of what the band is like,
go here.
I should probably give credit where it is due, and thank those people who have helped get me here. So, I would like to thank my parents, who are making it possible for me to go to school here, and to go on my mission. Then I would like to thank my best friend, Kip, for always being there to help me through all of my life crisises(and I have lots of them, let me tell you), and otherwise helping me. Also, there are the rest of my friends, especially David, Scott, Julie, Liz, Zoe, and Shannon, who have always been there for me at school, and from whom I had better get lots of email, you slackers (well, not so much with Dave, Scott, and Shannon, though email is always good to get). And if I didn't mention your name and you feel I should have, you have two options. First, you can figure there are just way too many people to thank on a little web page like this, and second, you can gripe and complain about it and email me at daekor@yahoo.com.
Well, that's about it for this page. Now that you've taken this wonderful side trip, you can go back to the World of Insanity, or you can just leave and hurt my feelings (you'd better not do that or I'll see to it that there is a hit put on you). Have fun, and FIGHT ON!!!!!
