- Conducted the first major charge master study and upgrade in over a decade. Result: a conservative $2.5 million in un-budgeted revenue is projected for FY96.
- While the average occupancy rate rose 13.8% and number of surgeries rose 1 3.2%, the costs of supplies remained within budget. The department's FY95 profit was 12% over budget, producing an additional $395,916 in revenue.
- During the JCAHO preparation phase and the actual inspection, acted as the Director of Plant Management. The facility received accreditation with commendation.
- Exchanged out photo copying equipment and cut copying costs by $32.000 per year with an additional one time savings of $17.000 simply by changing how the copies are purchased. Capital outlay: $0.
- Negotiated a medical waste disposal contract. Reduced costs from .47 per pound to .255 per pound. This generated savings in excess of $12.000 per year.
- Negotiated a radiology trade in which a fully depreciated seven year old piece of equipment valued at $4,350 was replaced by a turn key Emergency Department radiology room valued in excess of $45,000. Capital outlay: $0.
- Negotiated a contract which reduced lab reagent costs and replaced seven old lab machines with three new machines with greater capabilities. Maintenance is free for the first four of the five contract years. Estimated savings exceed $200,000
- Was key member of the negotiating team for the Owen's pharmacy contract which Produced annual savings in excess of $3 50.000.
