Mimi was born at home, and like many parents who have been fortunate enough
to have experienced a home-birth I am now a keen supporter.
Feel free to read Tracy's birth report.
If you've any questions or concerns about homebirth
then please drop me a line and I'll
try and help with an answer. I'm particularly interested in hearing from fathers, since
their concerns are often very different from the mother's. My only experience of homebirth is in the UK,
but I welcome any mail from anywhere.
What do I do?
Am I a medical or birthing expert? Not at all. During the day, and often at other times too,
I'm a engineering project managerworking for a major telecoms company here in Poole.
What does Tracy do?
Tracy is a Trustee with the National Childbirth Trust (NCT), a British charity
which offers information and
support in pregnancy, childbirth and early parenthood, and aims to enable every
parent to make informed choices. If you want any information about the Trust then
See also the NCT Home Page.
Where's this all going?
Since October 1995, I've been running the world's only internet homebirth mailing list. There are currently
about 150 friendly people from all over the world who share ideas and experiences
and offer support. They consist of professional midwives, mothers and fathers. People
who have tried it, people who want to try it, people who just want information.
If you'd be interested in subscribing to this list then drop a line to this address.
