Inspection Voyage of Sieur de la Roque
Census
1752
The journal and census of Sieur de la Roque, from the Paris Archives, were prepared under the orders of M. le comte de Raymond, year of 1752. Joseph de La Roque began his work during the middle of winter and met many obstacles. This census seemed to have been done with care and contains many details very interesting. To us researchers, it is ideal for answering the questions that we ask, such as date, birth places, children, etc.
This page is not yet completed. I plan on translating most, if not all, of Ile Royale (Cape Breton Island). There is bound to be a few mistakes, but I'm doing my best. Please remember that anything in { } was written by me, and were not found on the original census.
Keep visiting often and happy researching!
