In the name of God amen, the 18th day of the month of November in the year of our Lord God 1539 I Eme Billing of over Weedon Beck, widow, whole of mind & good of remembrance, being " thanked be God" make my testament & last will in manner following
First I bequeath my soul to Almighty God to our blessed lady Saint Mary his mother and to all the holy company of heaven, my body to be buried in the parish churchyard of the Holy Apostles Peter & Paul of Weedon aforesaid
Item I bequeath to the reparation of the bells.... 3s 4d
Item towards the maintaining of lights about the sepulchre 12d
Item to the maintaining of the rood light 4d
Item to Edmund Billing my son 20s

The residue of all my goods unbequeathed ... my debts and legacies clearly discharged and paid I ..... that Edmund Billing and Richard Billing mine sons.... between them to whom and where they shall see most need .... as my special trust is in them
