WILL OF ANTHONY WATTS OF PISFORD 1789

In the name of God amen
, I Anthony Watts of Pisford in the County of Northampton, farmer, do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say, I desire all my just debts may in the first place be paid and satisfied and I do give and bequeath unto Susannah Hincks who now lives with me the sum of one hundred pounds which I direct to be paid by my Executor herein after named at the end of six months next after my decease over and above what I may owe her for wages or otherwise,And I do give and bequeath all and singular my household goods, linen, wagons, carts, plows, harrows, gears, harness implements and utensils in husbandry, stock of cattle, corn, grain and hay, ready money, securities for money and all sum and sums of money which shall be due and owing to me at the time of my death, chattels and personal estate of what nature or kind soever that I shall die possessed of, interested in or in any way entitled to, after payment of my debts, the above mentioned legacy and funeral expences and proving this my will to my nephew Francis Thompson of Pisford aforesaid, farmer, his Executors, Administrators and Assigns forever absolutely and do nominate, constitute and appoint the said Francis Thompson, sole Executor of this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I have to this my will contained in one sheet of paper set my hand and seal this tenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty seven.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Anthony Watts as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto at the request and in the presence of the said testator and of each other the interlineation between the sixth and seventh lines from the top being first made.

On the 18th May 1789, Francis Thompson the sole Executor named in the within will was then sworn well and faithfully to perform the same and that the within named deceased at the time of his death was not possessed of a personal estate to the amount of six hundred pounds.
