WILL OF JOHN KEY OF CHACOMBE 1660

First I commit my soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator trusting assuredly to be saved by the precious death and merits of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeemer

And my body I commit to the earth from whence it was taken willing that it be decently buried in Christian burial at the discretion of [my] Executrix hereafter named.

And for such worldly estate which it hath pleased Almighty God to "endue" me withall I dispose of the same as followeth

First I give will and devise unto Anne Key my wife the Moiety or one half of my house and four acres of land with the appurtenances in Chacombe aforesaid for so long time as she shall live and after her decease, I give will and devise the same unto my daughter Anne Key her Executors and Administrators for all the term and time I have therein, the other Moiety or one half I give will and devise unto my said daughter Anne for all the estate I have therein and my will is that my said wife and daughter shall satisfy and pay such debts as I shall owe at the time of my death out of my said house and land

And I give the use of one half of all the rest of my goods to my said wive for her life and after her decease to my said daughter Anne

And the other half I do give and bequeath unto my said daughter Anne Key whom I do make my full and sole Executrix of this my last will and testament

In witness whereof I the said John Key have hereunto set my hand and seal the seven and twentieth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand six hundred and sixty
