WILL OF MICHAEL WARNER/WATTS OF MIDDLETON CHENEY 1656
In the name of God amen,
I Michael Warner alias Watts of Middleton Cheney in the county of Northampton, labourer, being weak but in perfect memory (God be thanked) do make this my last will and testament in manner and form as followethFirst I bequeath my soul into the hands of God my maker, hoping assuredly through the merits of Christ my Saviour to be made a partaker of life everlasting, and my body to the earth whereof it is made
Imprimis I give unto Richard Penfold four pounds to be paid by my Executor one twelve month after my wife's decease.
Item I give unto my son Thomas Warner alias Watts four pounds to be paid by my executor one twelve month after my wife's decease.
Item I give unto my son Nathanial Warner alias Watts one shilling to be paid by my Executor within one twelve month after my wife's decease
Item I give unto Frances Warner alias Watts my son Thomas's daughter twenty shillings to be paid by my executor in one twelvemonth after my wife's decease
And my mind is that my wife shall have my house for her life and all my goods to dispose of.
Item I give unto William Hunt my son in law four pounds to be paid by my Executor within one twelvemonth after my wife's decease
And I do make and appoint my daughter Elizabeth alias Watts my executor to see this my last will performed.
And I do give unto my daughter Elizabeth and unto her heirs and assigns forever my dwelling house in Middleton Cheney to pay my debts and legacies which I have given away.
In witness hereof I have set to my hand and seal the twenty fourth day of February, one thousand six hundred fifty four. Michael Warner alias Watts his mark.

This will was proved at London the tenth day of January in the year of our Lord God one thousand six hundred fifty and five before the Judges for probate of Wills and granting Administrations lawfully authorized by the oath of Elizabeth Warner alias Watts the daughter and sole Executrix of the said deceased named in the said will to whom administration of all and singular the goods, chattels and debts of the said deceased was committed, she being first sworn by commission truly to administer the same
