In the name of God amen, I William Cowper of Thenford in the County of Northampton, husbandman sick in body but perfect in memory do ordain, make and constitute this my last will and testament in manner and form following

First I bequeath my soul to Almighty God and my body to be buried at Lawrence Marston.

Item I give and bequeath to William Cowper my godson the son of Thomas Cowper my horse

Item I give and bequeath to Thomas Cowper my brother a yoke of bullocks

Item I give to my brother Michael's children one cow and a bullock

Item I give and bequeath to my brother Richard a cow

Item I give and bequeath to Robert Cowper the son of Laurence Cowper one cow

Item I will and bequeath to my brother Michael three wethers

Item I give to the children of Thomas Cowper 4 hoggerels

Item I give and bequeath to the children of my brother in law Michael George 3 hoggerels

Item I give & bequeath to my brother Laurence children 3 hoggerels and a cow and the said hoggerels to be indifferently parted among the children

Item I give to my brother Richard Cowper 4 cows

Item I give to the children of Thomas Cowper 4 cows and one to him & another to his wife

Item I give to Blabee's wife a cow and to her son Richard a sheep and to her daughter Katherine my best "theve" at Soulderne

Item I give to my sister Katherine Hall one "theve" which is at Soulderne

Item I give to my brother Thomas a goat?

Item I give to my brothers Thomas, Richard and Michael to every of them a flitch of bacon and to my sister Blabee a flitch of bacon

Item I give to my three bretheren 2 hogs to be equally parted betwixt them

Item I give to my godson William Cowper my iron bound cart, and my plough with cart rope and all things thereunto belonging.

Item I give to my brother Thomas Cowper all my horse harness and plough gears

Item I give to my brother Richard all my fetters and locks saving one lock which is upon my horse, the which I will to my godson William Cowper

Item I give to my sister Johan my featherbed

Item I give to my godson William Cowper a mattress, my best hilling, my best bolster and my best pair of sheets

Item I give to Anne George my other hilling

Item I give to my brother Richard..... harness.

Item I will and bequeath my 16lb of linen yarn to be equally divided betwixt my three bretheren and my sister Emme Blabee

Item I give to my brother Thomas & to my brother Michael to every of them a cart body and the rest of my timber to be equally parted betwixt my said bretheren

I will all my pewter to be equally parted amongst my three bretheren

Item I give to Johan Cowper the daughter of Thomas Cowper a "kymnell", a pail, a tub and a new peck

Item I will and bequeath all my dishes, spoons and trenchers to be equally divided among my three bretheren

Item I give to my brother Thomas my best pot and my brother Michael my best pan & my brother Richard my second pan

Item I give to James George a "possenet"

Item I give to Richard Blabee my other brass pot

Item I will that all my linen and other stuff not parted betwixt my brothers Richard and me ......... parted betwixt my three bretheren.

Item I will that my five Sturbrige "chese" to be equally divided among my three bretheren and all the rest of my cheeses saving [word missing] I will that Richard Hall shall have two and Emme Blabee two.

Item I will to Johan Cowper the daughter of Thomas Cowper one "mole"? and to Annis George one "mole" ?

Item I give to John George my great coffer and to my godson William Cowper my second coffer & the other two coffers my brother Richard to have

Item I will all my wool to be equally parted amongst my three bretheren

Item I give to Thomas Watts wife of Thenford all my .....

Item I give to every poor householder in Marston a peck of barley

Item I give to my brother Michael 4 sacks to my brother Thomas 2 sacks & to my brother Richard 2 sacks

Item I give to Emme Blabee half a quarter of barley and the rest of my barley and wintercorn to be divided amongst my three bretheren.

Item I give to Thomas Watts my peas & the straw of my corn

Item I do forgive Thomas Hall of Thenford all the money which he oweth me

Item I will all the rest my my goods and "cattalls" unbequeathed to my three bretheren whom I make executors to this my last will
