Greetings! I hope you like what you see here. And surprisingly, you're about to see more! FYI, I will post a picture I had taken of me last year, but these are dated and I don't have any new ones. Sorry. If you really want to know about me, though, keep reading, because I am about to make this arena a bio page for "The Capricorn Kid," Nickolanté! Bio: I am currently 31 years old from Chattanooga, TN and have a birthday on December 28, so I only celebrate my new age for 3 days out of the year (by the Julian calendar). So I'll be 31 years old, and even though I turn 32 in 2005, I'll "celebrate" being 31. Do the figuring and December 28 (which I found out is also the birthdate of Denzel Washington) makes me a Capricorn, born in 1973. Those that know me well, though, know that my soul has been here before, because I am more a fan of Bill Withers and Jean Carn than I am of Alicia Keys and Beyonce Knowles; and I prefer hip-hop by PE, BDP, and Whodini versus DMX, Eminem, and Bad Boy.
I am a graduate from two HBCUs, Morehouse College and Clark Atlanta University, both in West End Atlanta, Georgia (literally across the street from each other). I have a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Morehouse, and a Master's degree in Social Work from CAU, but have yet to find a job that uses either and I've looked in Tennessee AND Georgia! Yes, I am a Morehouse Man! (I am a fan of Spike Lee, a fellow Morehouse alum, and of Denzel, a fellow Capricorn, who both collaborated several times for "X", "Mo' Better Blues", and "He Got Game". Two great tastes that taste great together, wouldn't you agree?)
I love to travel and have travelled more for someone outside of the military than most. In the continental US, I have been to Sacramento, CA; San Francisco, CA; Chicago, IL; Indianapolis, IN; Lexington, KY; Louisville, KY; Gray, GA; Atlanta, GA; Macon, GA; Philadelphia, PA; Washington, DC; Evansville, IN; and briefly in Virginia, Alabama, and other parts of Tennessee (Nash, Knox, Memph). Abroad, I've been to Brussels, Belgium (home of the "Belgian waffle," which is scrumptous) and to South Africa (I visited several provinces of the home of Nelson Mandela).
I've also published a book of poetry; it has it's own arena on my website and is called "LoveNotes (to the Woman That I Seek). I copyrighted a book before this one, but haven't published it. I have another published book on the way, called "The Voiceless Chronicles," and I am working on two others.
