Blue Skies
A storm brews in the east
Vicious and ruthless
It pounces on each fragile home
With delicious power
Threatening to steal the sun
With it's immense clouds
It laughs a great bowl of thunder
And strikes down any hint of opposing weather
Winds wrap themselves around helpless trees
Refusing to let go until every ounce of life has been taken
Sounds rush through the air
At a race to get as far as they can
The sky hides from the earth
Waiting for a more calm atmosphere
Life seems to succumb to this wonder
Stopping everything from living
Yet when the clouds break
And the sun finds the courage to peak through its cage
Life regains normality
The storm dies a death fitting of its respect
Succumbing to the total calm of blue skies.
