History:
You already have part of her history if you've read about Shades. The same applies
to Hazy. One look and I was hooked! Hazy is the 2nd heaviest cat in the Herd, second
only to Kahn. She uses it to her advantage every chance she gets, too!
It seems that playful terrorism is genetic. Hazy is picky, though. She has absolutely
no respect for her father but leaves everyone else alone for the most part. All Bru has to
do is come close to his daughter and she'll slap him down! Since both are terrorists, it's
50/50 as to who wins the round. In the case of the others, she usually makes her point in
some other way. For instance, if someone's in my lap & she wants their spot, she just flops
down on them. Usually, that's all it takes! LOL
Hazy Mist is a real charmer! She has a winning personality that meshes perfectly with
the ornery look that never leaves her eyes. Even cat haters have said that they could tolerate
a cat if it were like her! I'd say that's an accomplishment for any cat, wouldn't you?
The only problem that I can see with Hazy is that she's overweight & I haven't come up
with a solution for feeding her seperately, yet. In the meantime, I keep her active (when she's
not terrorizng in her own way) and when she does have a problem, she'll immediately be seen
by one of my two vets.
To keep her active usually isn't very hard. The Herd shares most of their toys and Madame Mist
loves to play fetch with paper wads! Her sister, Shades is her usual playmate. Every once in a while
she'll play with Cimmaron or Misty. Most of the time, she'd rather spend time with me. Hazy is more
of a people cat than a cats' cat. If Shades didn't make it to you first, it would be my guess that Hazy
was your first greeter!
Here's a term for you to learn: FBS. All but Cimmaron in the clan are affected by it. It stands
for "floppy belly syndrome!" lol! You vets and interns take note! It'll be common knowledge, soon.
They have those floppy bellies but are otherwise lean and/or well muscled. Only Hazy is overweight.

What a joy it is to be greeted by her! She runs just a few feet in front of you & flops with an adoring
look on her face. She's one of my many companions when I go to sleep and one of my many visitors
while I'm on my computer. Whether or not she needs to get my attention, she makes sure by a lot of
chatter. This seems to be a trait among my branch of the clan. They all talk quite a bit. As you heard
for yourself, she has a cute voice.
Don't worry about stepping on Hazy while you surf around! Not only can't you miss seeing her,
she'll talk your ear off to let you know she's there! If she turns around and presents her backside to
you, just start smacking her at the base of the tail. See if she doesn't haller for more when you quit! :-)
