We have been researching our family history, and like many other people are making our information available to the world here on the Internet. We are registered in the GENDEX database.
The two main branches of our family are the BIVIN and UPDEGRAFF lines. We have posted the detailed data on this web site which can be accessed by the following links:
These Web pages were generated using a shareware program called GEDPAGE. Another shareware program commonly used by many people is GED2HTML. Both of these programs take files in the common GEDCOM format, which can be created by most genealogy programs, such as Broderbund Family Tree Maker, the program we use.
And we are interested in any information on the WWII ship DE-536 USS Bivin.
Please see the Notes below.

Some sites that have given us a great deal of information are:
The information presented in these pages is only as valid as our own sources. It has been our intention to compile as much of our families' history as is convenient, as well as possible, and we have relied heavily on the information posted on the Internet by other researchers. We realize that, even with diligent on-site research, genealogy is at best a field of "best guesses" -- the information should always (at least metaphorically) be kept in loose-leaf binders for easy updating.
We are always eager to exchange information, and glad to answer any inquiries. Nearly all of the family members that we have record of are posted in these pages, though, and any links to your relatives that we would know of are probably already here.
We use Family Tree Maker, and can exchange GEDCOM and FTM files.
