Professional Life

I work for a great company called Medical Support Systems, a division of Database Publishing Group.

We are a full service ASP (Application Service Provider) for a number of the top medical research societies in the world such as The American Heart Association, Digestive Disease Week, American Association for Cancer Research, and many others. To find out what this means, visit out our web site at http://www.dbpub.com

My personal responsibilities for the company include:

  1. Data collection of submitted medical research papers (abstracts).
  2. Proofing and formatting documents and graphics for various output formats which include web-based applications and publications, CD-ROMs, and medical journal publications.
  3. Production of CD-ROM based journals. (Abstracts on Disc)
  4. Production and programming of our proprietary Submitter Assistant™ software.
  5. Production and programming of our Microsoft Access based Sessions Module™ software.

As well as many other tasks that come along in our business.

I enjoy my work immensely and find it very satisfying. I am responsible for a great deal of "start-to-finish" projects, which means I get to see my efforts realized in our final products.
