As most may know, I love music. Below is a listing of my favourite cds, and why I like them.
For laziness convenience purposes, cds by the same artist are listed together.
The Greyest of Blue Skies, Finger Eleven It's official, I have a new favourite cd. I'm blown away by this one. I went to see them in concert, and was so impressed that I had to buy their cds. Of course...I'm broke, so I'll have to wait before I go get Tip. But still. TGOBS is friggen mind blowing. Try the official site for lots of goodies.
Break the Cycle, Staind This disc is absolutely amazing. It's angsty, and angry, but it's amazingly easy to connect to. Outside and It's Been Awhile are two of the best tracks.
O-Town, OTown Call me a sappy pop fan, but I love this cd. Some of the songs have a rock edge to them (probably courtesy of Jacob), but it's all good. I've been a fan since Making The Band started, so I'm glad to see they turned out a good cd.
Make Yourself; S.C.I.E.N.C.E, Incubus Incubus are amazing. They've got a unique blend of rock and melody, and don't really fit into any genre that I can think of. For more info check out Incubus Online.
Hybrid Theory, Linkin Park/The Gift of Game, CrazyTown My wonderful friend Jenn made me a cd for my birthday with both Hybrid Theory and The Gift of Game on it. Highly reccomended, catchy songs.
Music for People; Visual Audio Sensory Theatre, VAST VAST are amazing, check out RealVast.com. Jon Crosby is a god. VAST's songs are amazing, using all sorts of obsecure samples mixed with driving guitars.
Vapor Transmission; Candyass, Orgy There's something about Orgy that just gets me...I think it's a combination of their futuristic sound, their glam look and their fun with life attitudes. Check out their latest at Orgymusic.com
Awake; Godsmack, Godsmack The perfect angry band, Godsmack is great music for letting agression out to.
Chamber Music; Coal Chamber, Coal Chamber As with Godsmack, Coal Chamber is good angry music, great for cruising around the city and scaring old people.
Neon Ballroom; Freak Show; Frogstomp, silverchair My all-time favourite band, silverchair. They're simply amazing, and their live show is a dream rock concert. Check out Chairpage for the latest info on their new stuff.
A Place in the Sun, Lit I found out about Lit when they opened for silverchair...and fell in love. They simply rule. The Lit Lounge
Affirmation, Savage Garden, Savage Garden Another one of my all time faves, Savage Garden are great. Though they've broken up, I'm still looking forward to music from Darren Hayes.
