Seraphim Shock are not like most bands, fleeting. Seraphim have made themselves known for their dedication to both their music and their fans and have been showing the world just how strong they are since they first formed in 1992 and began playing in 1994. Throughout their career Seraphim Shock have recieved rave reviews from magazines such as Carpe Noctem, CiRCUS and Interface.
In 1996 Seraphim Shock was nominated for "Best Hard Rock/Industrial Act" by Denver's Westword Music Showcase, and again in 1997 and 1998. In 1997 Seraphim Shock released their first album entitled Red Silk Vow which contained 10 songs ranging from quite heavy to more tender, slow pieces. The song "After Dark" from Red Silk Vow was featured on a 4 CD set by Cleopatra records called Goth Box which featured other well known gothic bands such as Bauhaus, Switchblade Symphony, Eva O, Christian Death and The Damned. Also in 1997 Seraphim recieved first place in Denver's Underground Film Festival for the video of "After Dark."
Touring extensively through 1998 and 1999 Seraphim Shock spread the news of their amazing talent with 1 East Coast, 2 West Coast and 2 National tours. In May of 1999 Seraphim Shock released their follow-up album entiteld Nightmares For The Banished containing 6 songs the most popular of which seems to be "Little Gothic."
In January of 2000 Seraphim Shock released their latest single "Prey" which is on the Succubus Club: Vampire The Masquerade CD. Also in March of 2000 Seraphim headlinined at GothCon in Atlanta, Georgia (www.gothcon.com), part of the proceedings going to help those with AIDS and HIV. And on Halloween Seraphim Shock will be headlining at the Dark Coitilion, a Halloween Ball in New Orleans, and will also be touring again in the fall of 2000.
2001 holds more promise for the band, promising the release of a new album, video, tour video and more touring.
