In the beginning there was Starcraft, and then there was BROOD WAR. Due to the phenomenal success of the original Starcraft it was no suprise to me when I heard an add-on was being released.
This add-on has brought many new units into the picture, effectively evening up the slightly unbalanced races that were present in the original.
The TERRAN now have the
- MEDIC-To heal wounded Marines, To remove foreign objects (parasite, lockdown etc.) and to blind enemy units.
- VALKYRIE-An all new air-to-air missile frigate, capable of reducing most conventional star fighters and airborne structures to rubble.
- CHARON BOOSTER upgrade -Allowing Goliaths to have a much improved ground-to-air missile range.
The ZERG have developed the
- LURKER -A creature from the Hydralisk strain, it is able to bury underground, and emit waves of supra-dense spines against their enemies.
- DEVOURER - Bred from the Mutalisk strain, these large, flying Behemoths are capable of spewing their vile acid at any airborne ship or creature.
- CHITINOUS PLATING Upgrade -Hardening the exoskeletal shell of the ULTRALISK, enhancing the already impressive natural defences.
- ANABOLIC SYNTHESIS Upgrade -Increasing the reflexes and rate of movement of the ULTRALISK
The PROTOSS have accepted three new units to join their ranks
- DARK TEMPLAR -These mighty Warriors are able to bend light around themselves, making them virtually invisible. Armed with modified Psi-blade technology, these Warriors make fearsome hand-to-hand opponents.
- CORSAIR -These fast, medium sized warships employ a devastating neutron flare on air-to-air combat. with its powerful Disruption web, ground forces can be prevented from attacking.
- DARK ARCHON -When any two Dark Templar merge the power of the Dark Archon is unleashed. These beings have the power of
- Feedback -Turns the power of its enemies against themselves.
- Mind Control -The ability to take control of the minds of ANY enemy unit.
- Maelstrom -The ability to stun a group of erstwhile attackers for a short period of time.
