I have at last managed to type up some tactics, but i would appreciate it if you would send some in. If you have ANY tactics that you wish to share with us then please send them to woodenrat@hotmail.com
Please be warned, i accept no responsibility for any losses that may occur by using nikeriders tactics.

TERRAN
BW & SC - One of my fave tactics involves ghosts and nukes. What I like to do is get two or three nukes and then start having fun. Drop a nuke on the front defence of the enemies base, this will cause them to panic, and so they will start to build a huge defence at the front and build loads of detectors at the front.
This means that, if you are careful, you can drop a cloaked ghost off at the back of their base and drop a nuke on their important buildings!!!
Try it, you might like it. woodenrat
BW & SC - Here is a good stratergy for terran on terran. What you do is get a whole load of wraiths ready (with cloak) and then send a scout cloaked wraith into their base. If there are no missile turrets around start blasting some buildings. This will cause blue stars to appear, and uncloak you. Move the wraith a couple of screens away and do the same again. If no stars appear it means that they have run out of com-sat power. Now charge into the base with all of your cloaked wraiths and do as much damage as possible, watching out for missile turrets and science vessels. woodenrat
BW & SC - I have only just heard of this tactic, by by heck it works. Before i never used to build vultures, the bikes that lay spider mines, unless i wanted spider mines, but i have found a very good use for them. They are really good at breaking down siege tank setups. If there is a large group of tanks you run the vulture right in the middle of them, causing the tanks to kill the vulture, but also to fire on themselves, and so damaging them. This works best if there are only tanks and no pesky marines hanging around. woodenrat
BW & SC - This tip applies to all races really. I do not know how often i have seen armies march into peoples bases only to me mowed down by an army the same size. Because they do not upgrade their units. i do not know how people can go through a 1 hour game without upgrading their units it makes such a difference. With terran you can have 2 engineering bays and 2 armories without braking the bank and then you can simultaniosly upgrade. Have you tried bringing down 5 cruzers with lvl3 armour and weapons!!!!!woodenrat
BW & SC - when playing with terrran it is often a good idea to take advantage of their building requirements, for example a barracks could be built right outside an opponents base allowing for rapid offensive action to be taken, without the need for a pylon (protoss), or creep (zerg) this tactic however should only be attempted when playing lame gamers, such as woodenrat (joke, edit). Another personal favorite is to begin to build bunkers as close to the enemy as possible, gradualy edging closer and closer, until the unsuspecting tit who should not be playing Brood war in the first place, is dead. It is also a good idea to provide the bunkers with back up, seige tanks fill this Necessity perfectly, along with the odd missile turret. nikerider
BW & SC - Finally for terran, the 'all-out storm' as i like to call it. It is possible to kill any human and comp opponent in 30 mins max with this, depending on what you use: four barracks/starports are erected (!!!!) and bunkers built, then for the next 20 mins, collect a big an army as possible (about 150 marines, and 10 medics in broodwar, should do the job) and attack with upgraded armor and firepower (remember to use the attack command however, otherwise the will march to a inevitable diabolic death. Nice.)
then, sit back, perhaps with a cup of tea, and a scone, and watch the carnage.
this tactic may also be addapted with battlecruisers, although will obviously take more time. nikerider
ZERG
BW & SC - This is a great tactic that has worked almost every time that i have tried it, but you have to be willing to make sacrifices! What you do is get, i think anyway, 24 guardians and split them into two groups. You then attack one side of your opponents base with one group. this will cause him to send all of his anti-air to that place. This means that you can then attack the other side of his base with the other group, leaving your opponents screwed!!!!
An improvement of this tactic is to have a group of scourges waiting with the first group, these will then wipe out most of the anti-air meaning that you have a smoother ride to glory!woodenrat
BW & SC - ahh, the zerg possibly the easiest race to master due to their cheap costs and lack of buildings, BUT, do not be dis-couraged by my dis-couragement (?)
for the zerg have many a tactic up their sleEve. For example, 'the hydro annahio' as i like to call it. Immediatly build a spawning pool, then a hydralisk den, followed by an evolution chamber( possibly 2) from then on, do nothing but build hydralisks, overlords and upgrades, until you have atleast 200 men. CrAzY, i know, but this tactic allows for the death of 2 comps in under 90 mins, provided your forces are held together. This tactic, though quite annoying to fellow gamers (hint hint) is easy the best, as the zerg are cheap, but deadly, and always guaranteing the highest scores possible. I know. nikerider
BW & SC - Finally, 'the guard-alla-muta' combo. This involves YOU in building about 10 guardians and 10 mutalisks and going on an all out offensive.
I recommend however that you do not send the mutalisks to attack, but simply to protect the guardians for any ground-air/ air-air fire. Also try to enter the back, or sides of the base, as the front is usually the most heavily guarded, and so should not be assaulted.........yet, mmwwwhahahahahha. hmm. cough cough. nikerider
PROTOSS
BW & SC - First off is the ' Carrier barrier'. As the name suggests, nothing can break the strength of 12 carriers(upgraded) on an assault, and the best part is, it only takes the average god like me to have 1 in 23 mins, so it is not a time consuming effort.
Build you cybernetics core, and begin to upgrade all flying units, then, with scone in hand, build 3 stargates(or 4 if you are crazy) and build, with cannons nearby for protection, 12 carriers. Again, as with the zerg, attack if possible, from the side of the base, to catch your enemy unaware. Then just watch the fireworks, and wait for the 4th of July.!!! ( Independance Day in America) nikerider
BW & SC - Another personal favorite, is to build a pylon outside thier base, followed by a mass of photon cannons. This will prevent the computer/ human from expanding allowing you to simply 'wait' them out, due to their ridiculously low amount of cash. hahahaha. By the way, that is called the ' cannon smannon' for some unknown reason. nikerider
GENERAL
SC - When I used to play the original Starcraft all i used to hear was the argument that the only race to be was protoss. The argument was that although zeolots cost twice as much as marines they are 4 times as strong. They have 80 hp, compared to the marines 40hp, and also have 80 shields, giving them a hit point total of 160. I agreed that they had impressive figures but i would much rather have hydras. Now that Brood War has come along, it seems to me that zeolots do not play a big a role as they used to, with most people getting Dark Templars as soon as they can.woodenrat
BW & SC - i know that this may sound obvious to you veteran Starcraft players, but by far the greatest and most effective tactic of them all is to put your opponents base under siege!!!!!!! When i first started playing i was reluctant to expand, and so i usually got hammered. but once i started expanding and constantly keeping my opponents uder siege i started to get better results. it is usually the case that the more mineral and gas patches that you command the more likely you are to win. as soon as they run out of money they are screwed! you can just play around with them, and try things you would not normally dream of doing, as your opponents have no cash to build units to stop you. woodenrat
BW & SC - this is an another important tip. in order to succeed you should have an ordered army. If you attack without grouping your troops, you can very easily lose control of units and it will turn into a big mess. what i normally do is have control groups of one unit, OR have a mixed group, for example guardians and devourers.woodenrat
BW & SC - Jerry Springers final thought: try to be daring with the tactics you use, incorporate as many as possible in to your game, to not only make yourself unpredictable, but also a trained killer. And remember it's only a game. Till next time take care of yourself and each other..(that should go at the end of all three) nikerider
