Well, here I am, settled in at Jevim's apartment, listening to my CDs and finally getting my pages caught up a bit. I've set up a new calendar for November, done some tweaking on my index and ring pages and converted the handful of text files I had on ZIP disk into HTML pages. I also cleaned a bit around Jevim's apartment, put away clean dishes, and so on. ;) Now I can walk from the computer to the kitchen almost without having to step over anything. I'm not complaining though... there weren't many dirty dishes lurking this time, except for a couple utensils hiding here and there. But enough about that...
Mom and I left home around 9:30 yesterday morning, got to the airport with plenty of time to spare even though we took the scenic route to the right terminal at the airport. On the flight, I had someone nice enough to toss my jacket up into the overhead compartment, and spent the two hours doing a crossword and reading the airline magazine and one of the magazines I'd brought with me.
Jevim was waiting at the gate, and we made the long walk down to get my bags, then headed to Dave and Busters, where we were going to have dinner. Unfortunately, they were closed until 9:30 for a private party. We wound up going to Taco Bell and then home, since I was rather stuffed. We watchedJeopardy and Star Trek: Voyager while he played his games online and I watched over his shoulder with my arms wrapped around him.
When Voyager was over, he asked if I wanted to do anything online, and after I convinced him that I didn't, we wound up curled up for the rest of the evening. Well, close enough, anyway... *wink*
He was just drifting off to sleep, and I was lying in bed trying to fall asleep when the phone rang. At first he thought it might be my mom, since I hadn't called her after I got here, but it turned out to be Connie, having problems with Emma again, and wanting to talk to Jevim. I just laid cuddled up next to him while he talked, and listening gave me a new perspective on a few things. I guess I'm not as peeved at Emma as I was last weekend, but I still think she needs to grow up and think about how she's treating Connie.
After Connie was done talking to Jevim, she asked to talk to me, and asked if I was mad. I told her I wasn't... he hadn't been ignoring me while he was talking to her, and she hadn't really interrupted anything. Hopefully she believed me. Anyway, Jevim and I curled up to go back to sleep, and I was out fairly soon afterward.
Jevim got home in the middle of that last paragraph, and I'm just finishing this up on Friday morning, so I'll continue in my next entry. Type to you soon...
