All the pain and grief are over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.
Did you wonder, I so calmly
Trod the Valley of the Shade?
Oh, but Jesus's love illuminated
Every dark and fearful glade!
And He came Himself to meet me
On the way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus' arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?
Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still:
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's will.
There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idle stand;
Do your work while life remaineth--
You shall rest in Jesus' land.
When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you home;
Oh, the rapture of the meeting!
Oh, the joy to see you come!!!!
My life is but a weaving
Between my Lord and Me;
I cannot choose the colors
He worketh steadily.
Ofttimes He weaveth sorrow,
And I in foolish pride
Forget He sees the upper
And I, the underside.
Not till the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly
Shall God unroll the canvas
And explain the reason why.
The dark threads are as needful
In the Weaver's skillful hand
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned.
I get very depressed and start crying at anytime.
I, sometimes, feel I failed my mom
through her illness. Although,
I know (deep down) I did all I could-
--I have to forgive myself.
The morning I got the call
to come quickly (I had over an hour's drive)
and it was 4:45am, I did a lot of praying.
At first, I prayed, Oh,Lord - please,
don't take her. I am not ready to let
my mom go. Then,
something came over me and I said to HIM,
'I put it in your Hands,
do what You feel is best.' And, He did.
When I come to the end of the day
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little, but, not for long
And, not with your head bowed low.
REMEMBER the love we once shared-
MISS ME, BUT LET ME GO.
For this is a journey we all must take
And each must go alone.
It's all a part of the Maker's plan,
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick at heart
go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds-
This was read at Mom's grave as we laid her to rest..
The words say what we should know and what we
should do,,but, it isn't quite that easy..is it????
