Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt. And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. Amos:9:13-15 Welcome to HavenRest Farm. Out of the 500 acres of farmland, over 100 acres are made available to local farmers for crop growing. They in turn provide the ministry with a share of their profits as tribute. The soil on this property is so fertile that local farmers can get two crops a year of sweet corn. The fields are rotated in soybean and alfalfa during different crop seasons. |

During the spring of this year the rotation crop was soybean. The price was high for farmers and the rotation put nutrients back into the ground. Farming and Animal husbandry have many of their roots in the wisdom found in scripture.
