This is the story of two lovers…destined to be apart.

(An excerpt from Sailor V manga 15, Ace's own explanation of his love for Minako)

He takes off his mask, and looks into her eyes. "I am Adonis."
The mark of Venus shines on his forehead.

"I burn with passion for you. We were supposed to love one another. I am your mystical lover."

"The sign of the guardian of the planet Venus!" thinks Minako. "Is he also Venus's...!?"

"But you do not know me," he says. "In my previous life, I had no rank. I
was a miserable soldier in a remote region. You lived in a palace
overlooking Venus. The chosen strongest sailor soldier, shining brightly.
Before long, for your mission, you went to the ruler of the solar system,
the moon. That planet, radiating unsurpassed light. A planet eternally
unreachable to us. Then, we were borrowed for the war taking place on the
chief planet. By the soldiers under direct supervision of the Prince..."

(flashback)
The young Adonis stands among Endymion's soldiers.

Venus holds Selenity in her arms.

"Finally meeting you... The lovely goddess of beauty and war..."

He sees Venus staring into Kunzite's eyes.

"That reminds me, you've been falling in love with people since way backthen!"

"Hey now!" says Minako.

He touches her face.

"I knew then... If I changed one wheel of fate, the two of us might fallin love..."

He stands back.

"But... There is only one fate. I was born into this world again. And it seems I've raised to the status where I can confront you."

He raises a playing card to the sky.

A field of electricity appears. A sphere forms around him, and another around Minako, separating them.

Hai hai, yes, I know I should start toning down on my corny intros! Teehee. So, let's test our Sailor V knowledge.
Who's Ace? Who's Kaitou Ace? Who's Danburite? Who's Kunzite? Who's Adonis? *V glances at watch...tick...tick* Time's up! Well, if you said the first three and the last one were the same person, pat yourself on the back. If you said they were all the same person, bow your head in shame. ^-^. Next, what's the difference between Ace, Kaitou Ace, Danburite and Adonis? *Use them lil' brains kids* Time's up. Alright, allow me to enlighten those that have no clue what so ever. Ace is uh...Ace's name on earth (Saijou Ace to be exact), in an analogy form *grabs Mamoru and points to his head* Ace is to earth name as Mamoru is to earth name. Kaitou Ace is...*puts Mamoru's top hat on him* Ace's super hero form as... *points to dork in Tuxedo* to Mamoru's super hero form as Tuxedo Kamen. That wasn't too bad huh? Continue! Danburite is like...*puts an armor on Mamoru and in a ghastly voice* Mamoru as Evil Prince Mamoru! And of course, Adonis is...*puts a smiley face on Mamo-chan* Prince Mamoru back on the silver millienium. Only Adonis wasn't a prince. *Tosses Mamoru away* Now that was just too easy wasn't it? *laughs*

Okay, so now let me tell you about this 'story of an untold tale'. Once upon a time, there is a beautiful princess of Venus. Among her million of admirers was Adonis, a soldier of no rank. He loved her. She didn't know he existed. Sad huh? So later Adonis was reincarnanted on Earth, he became Kaitou Ace but really Danburite working with evil forces... So again, his path with Minako is separated.

Ace seem to be very sure of himself and also Minako. He pointed out that Minako could never take love seriously and that she didn't really love him. Which turned out to be half true...

I feel sorry for these two because they can't be together. Although Ace loves Minako and Minako is 'infatuated' with him. On earth, they are enemies. It is also stressed that Minako (and all the other senshi minus Sailormoon) has no other mission in life but to protect Selenity (Usagi). Sad eh?

"Look out!" says Minako.

She shoves Ace out of the way, and they fall to the ground. She lies over him.

"Is that you, Minako?" he says.

"Huh?" says Minako. "H? How did you..."

"I know. I told you, didn't I? Because I love you, I know everything about you."

"Everything?" thinks Minako. "Then, even that I'm Sailor V?"

He reaches up to touch her cheek.

"Being protected by you like this," he says. "It's like a dream. You always protect me."

"Of course," says Minako. "I'll always protect you. Because I am Sailor..."

"'I'll always protect you,'" she thinks. "I vowed that once before..."

A feminine figure reaches out through the mist, her two tails of hair flowing behind her.

"Venus, help me!"

"I'm happy," says Ace. "Now we're finally lovers. I love you, Minako."

"Why am I so uneasy?" Minako thinks. "This isn't it either."

He pulls her face close to his.

"This love isn't the real thing either..."

She stands up. "This person is not the one I'm supposed to protect!" She shoves Ace away.

So in the end, Ace dies knowing his fate would never cross with Venus'. Before he died though, he told her of her love fortune.
