These pictures are from a ski trip I took to Banff in Feb. 1999 with a couple of friends from the University of Saskatchewan - Dan Monchuck and Eric Larson.  All of these pictures are from Mount Norquay but we skied the first day in Lake Louise (nice snow but very poor lighting for pictures).  We drove all night Thursday to get to Louise on a Friday morning, had some beers with my friend Brenda that night, skied Saturday and drove to Calgary (more beers with Brenda) then drove home to Saskatoon Sunday (after a bit of shopping at the MEC).

Dan and Eric.

Dan and Derek.

Dan catching some rays on the ski lift.

Derek skiing mogules the best he can.

Eric getting some good air on his board.

Eric and Dan on our first black diamond run of the day.  At the time this thing looked straight down.

On the lift.

Town of Banff as the fog sets in.

On the top of the south double diamond lift.  We had just watched a guy fall down the first half of the hill. Dan was skiing in the mountains for his first time and Eric was just getting used to his board. They were brave to ski this run.  At the bottom of the lift they said only "experts" (ie can ski double diamond) should ski this.

Apres ski. The best part of the trip.
Cheers!
