General Science

Before all else, this following site must come first: Science Hobbyist
This site has it all! If you are an advanced sort of science nut or just the casual "that's interesting" type, this site is going to have something interesting for you.

Science Made Simple is a nice site geared toward science for kids. Included are some simple science experiments kids can try at home.

Bizarre Stuff You Can Make in Your Kitchen is a fun site with lots of experiments and project you can try at home and are fun for all ages. Plenty of projects in many catagories. - Update 10/30/2002 Possibly a dead link!

Bad Science GIF "Well established phenomena which are persistently presented incorrectly by teachers and writers..." can be found at: Bad Science

This is a nice site where a professor of Physics answers science questions from those of you who want to ask: How Things Work

And one of my favorite subjects is Science folklore. Much like some of the stuff found at Bad Science (listed above), science folklore are those sort of things that most people believe because they have become common knowledge. Unfortunately, most of the time, just because this stuff is commonly repeated as fact, often times it is simply wrong. Many of these things I too used to believe to be true. Take a look and see if any of these are ones you have fallen for (although I only have two up so far):
