August 6, 2003 - International Orange
International Orange (with Snuzz, Django Haskins, and Robert Sledge) have launched a website with some songs available, and one of the tunes is "Prince Charming"! I haven't downloaded the other two songs yet (due to the fact I'm on a dial up connection), but I'm sure they rock just as good.
Alright guys, I know that much of the site still needs work. Mainly the rare songs section. But bear with me over the next month or so and I promise I will have it all fixed up for ya'll.
July 23, 2003 - Speed Graphic
You can now hear clips and/or buy Ben's first EP, Speed Graphic, at www.attackedbyplastic.com. This is the first of 3 EPs to be released between now and November.
July 9, 2003 - WOOHOOOO!
YES! Ya'll can now download Majosha songs, The Beginnings, songs from Ben's 1990 demo tape, and tons of BF5-related videos at fctvplus.net/~credo42/BFF/. TheAntipop of benfolds.org has been kind enough to create some space and host all this stuff! Since bffclubhouse.com has been down for quite a while, this is some excellent news for those of you who have been unable to hear this rare stuff. Happy downloading!
July 7, 2003 - Real news for a change!
Ben Folds will be releasing 3 brand new EPs between now and November. The EPs will have about 5 songs each and it's rumored that there will be recordings of "My Dog", "Protection", and / or "Kalamazoo". We will know soon. The first EP, "Speed Graphic", will be released on July 22nd. Click here for more info. And, Robert Sledge, "Snuzz" Uzzell, Django Haskins of Django and the Regulars, and Chris Stevenson will be forming a new band called International Orange. Check out Frank's site for more info. And last but not least, if I haven't mentioned this before, clips of new Ben Folds songs can be found here. Just look for "WPI Show".
June 28, 2003 - It's about damn time!
OK. I have some updates for the site that I should've done a long time ago (probably about a year and a half ago...but, better late than never). I've added chords to Carrying Cathy, Rockin' the Suburbs, and Theme from "Dr. Pyser" which I've been meaning to transcribe for the past 3 or 4 years now :) Also, Scott sent me a really good song interpretation of Eddie Walker, and Boudewijn helped me fix up the lyrics to Bizarre Christmas Incident. And, this goes for all of ya'll, if there's something on this site that's typed-wrong or misspelledd or a broken link or anything of that nature, please don't hesitate to e-mail me. This site is pretty large, sometimes even too much for me to handle, so your help is and always has been greatly appriciated. Until next time, later!
June 8, 2003 - Where's Joey B.?
Just wanted to let you all know that I'm still alive, and I'm still maintaining this site. I just graduated from college a few weeks ago and I'm gonna be home for the summer. Right now I'm just trying to find a job, figure out what I'm doing with my life, procrastinating, stuff like that. So, the site WILL be updated over the course of the summer and it'll finally be all fixed up (hopefully) within the next few weeks. Thanks for all the e-mails ya'll. The audio section most likely will not be updated until August, unless I can find a way to get off this stupid dial-up connection. I will have something meaningful to add or fix on the next update. I promise!
February 27, 2003 - Almost done
Hey ya'll. I have fixed up almost every section on the site. All I have left is the Rare Song page and the Lyrics and Chords section. Hopefully that will be finished by next week. (did anyone notice how fast this month flew by?) The Audio Section has a few mp3s available. I'm thinking about adding some cool stuff there soon so keep checkin in! The History of Majosha page has been updated, and so has the Pots and Pans page in the Discography section. And last but not least, Daniel and Anna have both sent song meanings from Ben on Emaline and Rockin The Suburbs (thanks guys!). I've also got some cool info to add the history section. I have a feeling it might take a while before it's all done. Soooooo, that's pretty much it. Enjoy all that good stuff!
January 30, 2003 - I'm gettin there, I'm gettin there
Woooooo changed the color! I really wanted this site to have the orange -o- rama feel, but it was kinda blinding. So I decided to go with the dark blue-ish vibe. The Links and Master Song List Sections have been added, respectively. Only a few more to do.
January 18, 2003 - Some additions for a change
It's been a while since I actually added anything to the site, but here's some stuff for ya'll. I added some things to the song meanings section including Eddie Walker from Alex and Evan Olson's take on Tom and Mary from Brian Spitz. Also check out Brian's BF5 bootleg site at www.reocities.com/bouton56/techie.html. Some lyrics have been add as well including One Down transcribed by Arron Bell (he's also sent me some chords which I will add soon). Dan Myers fixed up the lyrics to Silver Street and Lonely. And someone sent me some lyrics to Kops, forgive me but I forgot who it was. If you know who you are and want to get credit for it, please e-mail me and let me know.
I also have some chords ready to go up. I'll try to add them within the next week. Thanks for all the e-mails. You guys rock!
January 8, 2003 - My website's a brick and I'm drowning slowly
Sorry for the huge delay. I've been doing just about nothing for the past 2 weeks. This site will take some time to fix. Much longer than I thought it would. So I probably wont be fully done with it until early February or around then. I forgot to mention on the last update that you can access all the lyrics and chords through this link...
www.reocities.com/rarebff/songs/
I also still have to fix the color scheme and links and stuff like that so if you have any cool ideas, e-mail me up!
December 14, 2002 - Brand New Site!...sorta...
Alright everyone. Welcome to the new site! As you're reading this, I'm updating and changing everything, so none of the links will work. This is about the 3rd or 4th time I've redone the site. I think I might stick with this one. Even though I say that every time. All the pages will be a lot more organized than they were. Please check out the discussion board when you get a chance. If there's something you think I should add or take out, let me know at joebass123@aol.com.
